Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery
Queanbeyan is well renowned around Australia as a producer of quality sportsmen and women. The Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery is designed to recognise in perpetuity the achievements of sporting men and women who have brought honour to Queanbeyan and themselves.
The Queanbeyan Sporting Gallery was officially opened on Australia Day in 1993 by then mayor Frank Pangallo and 1992 Australian Equestrian Olympic gold medallist, Andrew Hoy.
The Sporting Gallery is home to some of the nation’s greatest sporting stars including David Campese, Heather McKay, Ricky Stuart, Mark Webber, Takeover Target and many more.
In 2012 the Sporting Gallery was moved to the Queanbeyan Indoor Sports Centre where it is more accessible to the community and visitors.
